Into the recording studio!

This week I head into the recording studio with the Toronto Chamber Choir, under the direction of Lucas Harris. This organization is celebrating their 50th anniversary this season and capping the season off with a recording featuring choral, vocal and instrumental works of women composers from Hildegard von Bingen to Clara Schumann — with plenty that you’ve never heard of in between!

I’m excited to add my playing to what will be an incredible and varied disc. I’ll be providing some organ and harpsichord continuo in the choral works, as well as in small ensemble pieces. I also have the opportunity to add a solo movement or two on harpsichord by the French composer Elizabeth Claude Jaquet de la Guerre, and a selection of solo voice cantatas performed by the section leads of the choir.

A concert of the music for the recording is being presented live on May 26 at 3:00pm at the Church of the Redeemer in Toronto, ON.
